Getting to Super Bowl 47

Well I made it to Super Bowl 47 in New Orleans.  It was great trip down.  I will write about it more in the coming days.  Check out my blog with more information on my trip to the

I just won an all expense paid trip for 2 to Super Bowl 47 in New Orleans, Louisiana.  I texted “Football” to a number for a Bud Light Canada contest and they phoned me to say I had won.  I was totally surprised.  I have won contests before but nothing ever this big.  I had texted six times over a week and they said I was the winner.  I was super nervous during the skill testing question but I managed to figure it out.  Thank you to Bud Light for picking me as a winner for the contest.  I will make sure I have a great time!!

I won two end zone tickets to the Super Bowl, flights from Vancouver to Toronto and then a charter flight on the Bud Plane.  It should be a great time.  They said the prize was valued at more than $15,000.  Tickets for the end zone seats are approximately $3000 each.  It’s a once in a lifetime experience that I would have  never been able to afford.  Cross the Super Bowl off the bucket list.  They cover our hotel for 5 nights, lunches and dinners for 3 days and give us $500 spending money.  Nice.  I was in New Orleans last year for the Final Four but we stayed at the Motel 6.  This will be a step up in terms of the hotel. We are also going on a Gator tour to Bayou country.

I am taking my wife.  I took my dad to the Final Four last year and my wife likes football so it should be a good time.  There are parties at the Bud Light Hotel every night and we get a tailgate party at the Creole Queen.  The retail on those tickets are $400 each.

I wish the Seattle Seahawks had made the Super Bowl.  It would have made the event even that more special.  They were pretty close to making it but did not execute a very good game in Atlanta.  I do not mind San Francisco as long as they are not playing the Seattle Seahawks.  It should be a great defensive battle and Colin Kaepernick is a dynamic quarterback that will be hard to stop.
